Yesterday, I saw some things I liked, but nothing I loved. Overall, the day showed some mediocre looks that can be worn easily but, nothing that really pushed the envelope for me. Of course, we had the usual “What were they thinking” shows and Meadham Kirchhoff wins that honor hands down!

As I said, I was hard pressed to find anything that stood out and made me take a closer look. Several Designers showed some good pieces, but no collection as a whole won me over.  These are a few of the looks that I did like and could be added to any woman’s wardrobe with ease.

Today is the final day of London Fashion Week and is more focused on Men’s Wear… let’s hope that Day 5 offers some better selections!

However, day 4 also brought us some phenomenal looks! Love, love, love the collections from Antonio Berardi, Pringle of Scotland and Mark Fast! Sleek, sophisticated and chic were the adjectives that came to mind with all of theses Designers! Very fashion forward and yet classic and elegant!

Day 3 brought us some other surprise winners! I absolutely fell in love with the collection that Matthew Williamson sent down the runway! The looks are perfect for the strong woman who likes  a bit of whimsey!

Again we saw a few looks that just left me chuckling….while I applaud the willingness to try something new, Louise Gray just pushed me right of my fashion comfort zone. The mix of crazy prints is an attention grabber for sure, but is this the kind of attention any woman really wants? As well, I understand the use of accessories to add intrigue and drama to make your work standout, but, really….What were they thinking?

Moving on to the gems of the day….Yesterday showed us some very exciting innovations, as well as some sublime everyday RTW looks for Fall!

I absolutely loved Aquascutum, with the tailored, but not necessarily fitted pieces in the collection.  This relaxed but polished style is glamorous and chic!  The simple palette of basics and neutrals is right up my alley! Any one of theses pieces could be paired with a bold pop of color and take you as daring as you care to be!

Daks showed a very sophisticated collection with a hint of trend, again right up my alley! I love classic and timeless mixed with a bit of the unexpected!

For those who like a little more fashion forward look, check out Issa London’s collection. Showing a mix of classic elegance with interesting materials and bold prints, this collection allows the wearer to make a statement that is uniquely their own!

Going forward we can look for some “A” list Designers to begin to show up on the schedule! As we move into Day 3, I am particulary excited to see Vivienne Westwood’s collection.

The one thing I love about London is the tradition to “push” the envelope on fashion, but there were some looks that I just can’t imagine actually seeing ANYWHERE!  Keeping in mind that Euro Fashion can be Avante Garde and “over the top”, I usually see the possibility to take one piece of the look and mix and match, like the top or bottom, but these looks just left me scratching my head…..

That being said…there were some amazing looks that will surely be walking down main street this Fall.

Many Designers showed last season’s hottest look, the Maxi Dress, in a new and  innovative way.  Like a breath of fresh air, hemlines are all over the map this season, which is great for every woman!  There is a look for those who look best in or love lengths from the micro mini to the maxi.

The last day of NYFW brought us some creative and fashion forward looks. Ralph Lauren showed a muted pallet with the usual sophisticated style. Lauren leaned heavily on a strong “page boy” vibe and updated it for today’s woman.

Well known for their red carpet style, Marchesa showed their glamorous side with bold looks in their collection. A mix of a soft, romantic style and strong hues gave us a glimpse of what the stars will be wearing this Fall!

Yesterday we saw a myriad of collections from some of the top Designers. Michael Kors sent some showstoppers down his runway as he boldly embraced drama and glamor. I love the sophisticated feel of this collection!

Yesterday we saw Vera Wang’s softer side. Showing floating silhouettes and more romantic prints, Vera sent some beautifully subdued yet elegant pieces down the runway. Her timeless style makes every lady look and feel like a woman.

Marc Jacobs showed a strong collection with many versatile pieces.  The sleek and fashion forward point of view can be integrated into anyone’s closet bringing a tired wardrobe up to date!

Day 5 brought us a great show from the incomparable Betsey Johnson! Her designs never fail to delight! Her “out of the box” approach to fashion makes her collection fun to wear!

A few days ago Cleveland’s own, Vanni Wang, showed her Lucio Vanni collection filled with an innovative and chic edge. I love the unique style in her line that always makes it easy to recognize when it’s a Lucio Vanni piece!

Fashion Week Day 4 brought us some big name Designers and the “A” list Designers will keep coming as the event moves forward.

Yesterday, one of my favorite Designers, Diane Von Furstenberg showed her Fall 2012 collection offering a mix of bold color and sophisticated neutrals. The collection includes her signature flowy looks and some more form fitting silhouettes.  I love her classic style, choices of prints and the unexpected pops of red!

Prefer a more unique look? Stay tuned, as one of the most “out of the box” Designers, Betsey Johnson, will show today.  Her collections are always a treat to the eye and I can’t wait to see what’s in store…..
